The program helps create a bridge between the academic world and the business community.<\/p>\n<p>Executives in residence undertake a variety of activities, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing lectures as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/hands-on-learning\/insights-from-experts\/\">Insights From Experts<\/a> program<\/li>\n<li>Speaking to graduate and undergraduate classes<\/li>\n<li>Providing advice to faculty on their research<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring students on how to plan their careers<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/hands-on-learning\/don-center\/\">Elizabeth and Allen Don Center for Innovative Technology and Decision Sciences<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Meet Our Newest Executive in Residence<\/h2>\n<h3>Kristopher Amplo \u201900<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2213\" src=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2025\/06\/Kristopher-Amplo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2025\/06\/Kristopher-Amplo.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2025\/06\/Kristopher-Amplo-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2025\/06\/Kristopher-Amplo-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Kristopher Amplo, a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with a dynamic career spanning construction, real estate, and philanthropy, has generously agreed to share his time and expertise as the 2025-2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/\">Robert B. Willumstad School of Business<\/a> executive in residence.\u00a0As President and Owner of J.C. Steel Erectors Corp., he leads a commercial steel company of over 300 employees and $100 million in annual sales, delivering landmark projects such as UBS Arena, LaGuardia and JFK Airports, and TSX Broadway. His real estate ventures include multifamily developments, self-storage facilities, and vacation rentals across the U.S. Kristopher is also deeply committed to charitable work, founding the Amplo Family Foundation and co-founding the DezyStrong Foundation, while serving on the boards of multiple nonprofits. With prior experience as a history teacher and business owner, he holds degrees from SUNY Farmingdale, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­, and Stony Brook University, and currently contributes his expertise to several industry boards, including the Subcontractors Trade Association and Allied Building Metal Industries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What Is an Executive in Residence?
